We find the real need first.
Before a single line is written, we listen — to the business, the workflow, the thing that’s actually breaking. The brief you arrive with is rarely the problem worth solving. We name the real one, then build for that.
About Tekavra Creative · St. Petersburg, FL
By hand. Made to last.
A St. Petersburg studio that builds the real software your business runs on — by hand, and built so it’s yours to keep.
Who You’re Working With
Founder Vikelas Carey is a designer and a business owner — he has run the operations, sent the invoices, and felt where software helps a business and where it just gets in the way. When you work with Tekavra, you’re a person he knows — not a number in a queue.
The whole standard is in the name. Tekavra is built from four old roots — two meanings, one intent.
Greek techne · Aramaic avra
“I create with craft.”
Craft you can see — made through practiced hands and real tools.
Egyptian ka · Sanskrit vara
“Crafted with soul.”
Intention you can feel — deliberate, from the first line to the last.
The Standard
Most of what gets called “web design” is assembly — a template dragged into shape, plugins taped together, a login held on with hope. It works until it doesn’t, and it was never really yours.
Tekavra works the other way. We architect a website and the software behind it — measured, planned, and built by hand, one deliberate piece at a time. Nothing ships unexamined. Every part earns its place.
That’s the whole standard — practiced hands, real tools, the discipline of making, and the conviction that a thing built with care should last and be worth owning. One standard, applied to every build.
The Founder
Hi — I’m Vikelas Carey, founder of Tekavra. I chose the name with a lot of heart, and a real passion for the craft. I’ve run the operations, I’ve sent the invoices, and I’ve felt firsthand where software helps a business — and where it just gets in the way.
My goal is simple: help the people I work with revolutionize how their tech and their workflows run, so they save real time and real money. That’s why I don’t hand the work off to a production line. I design and build it to one standard — the same standard whether it’s a local shop’s website or a full custom software platform. Every pixel deliberate. Every system built to be understood.
I keep the studio small enough to care about the details, and serious enough to ship real software end to end. When you work with Tekavra, you’re a person I know — not a number in a queue.
How We Work
Craft isn’t a mood — it’s a method. Three principles hold under every project, from a one-page site to a business’s whole operating system.
Before a single line is written, we listen — to the business, the workflow, the thing that’s actually breaking. The brief you arrive with is rarely the problem worth solving. We name the real one, then build for that.
The part customers never see is the part that decides whether the whole thing holds. Data, logic, and the operations layer come first; the interface is drawn on top of a system that already works — never a pretty shell over nothing.
Work is shaped one of three ways — a fixed project with a defined outcome and price, a phased build that grows in deliberate stages, or an ongoing retainer where we stay planted and keep improving what we made. You start where it makes sense and move as the need does.
Set up to be yours. Take it with you anytime, or let us manage it in-house. You’re never locked in — the work is built to be handed over the moment you want the keys.
